About
東京在住のプロダクトデザイナー・エンジニア
I'm Mac Xiang, a product designer and engineer based in Tokyo. I work as an AI product designer at Eukarya, building a 3D editor for spatial storytelling — and I take products from first sketch to shipped, production code.
My path runs through civic-tech (a unified infrastructure-DX system for Nagoya City, product work for Japan's Digital Agency), consumer apps, music tech (NeuralDSP's Japanese presence), and design systems built Japanese-first. Along the way I've published research on everything from telemedicine UX to token design.
The through-line: I care about the seam between design and engineering — where most products quietly fall apart — and I work on both sides of it.
東京を拠点に、プロダクトデザインからフロントエンド実装まで一貫して手がけています。公共領域のDXから消費者向けアプリまで、設計と実装の境界を越えて価値を届けることが私の仕事です。
What I do
Product Design
End-to-end product design: research, IA, flows, and high-fidelity UI — with the engineer's instinct for what ships.
UI/UX
Interface systems tuned for clarity: typography, hierarchy, and interaction states that hold up in both Japanese and English.
AI Products
Designing for probabilistic software: uncertainty interfaces, latency as a material, and trust built through failure states.
Engineering
Frontend that matches the design: semantic HTML, performance budgets, accessibility, and the discipline to keep both.
Working together
I take on a small number of freelance and collaboration projects each year — product design, design systems, and design-engineering hybrids.
